Here’s how to get the Google Duo link and invite people in group video calls.

As the world uses video call apps more than ever, service providers are trying just about everything to up their game.

WhatsApp added support to allow 8 participants in a video call, Microsoft Teams became popular, Google Meet was made free. Looking at all this to catch up Google Duo is now rolling out invite links just like Zoom.

Back in May, Google announced a group link invite, but it didn’t go live. However, now anyone can use them, according to Android Police.

Here’s how to use it.

How to Use Google Duo Group Video Call Invite

The feature is working from v89 onwards of the app. To use it, follow the steps below:

  • Create a group for video calls.
  • Once done, you will see an invite link.
  • Copy-paste the link or share it with the people you want to start video calling with.
  • Once the person clicks the link, Duo opens, and before joining the call, it allows us to view other group members.

In addition to this, you can rename groups, delete Duo history, and perform other operations. To do so, tap three stacked dots at the right-hand corner and select the option.

Does it work on the web client?

No, currently it only works with mobile as the group call feature is not supported in web clients.
