Funker Will Release A New Windows 10 Mobile Mid Range Smartphone

Spanish mobile phone manufacturer Funker is planning to release a mid-range device that will cost between €300 and€400 and only be available in Europe. The Funker W6.0 Pro 2 will run Windows 10 Mobile and support Continuum, the feature that allows the user interface to adapt automatically depending on how the device is used. So, if users connect it to an external monitor or a physical keyboard, it can be transformed into a small PC.

Funker is one of Microsoft’s third party OEMs, with many Windows Phone device releases in the past. This time, they’ll introduce a giant phablet with a more premium design sporting metal body with a flat back and physical buttons on the sides, coming in at 160 x 82.3 x 7.9mm and weighing in at 176g.

The 6-inch, Gorilla Glass-protected screen supports Full HD resolution and inside, the device houses a Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 64-bit Octa Core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. This is backed by an Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. Internal memory is decent at 32GB, but if you are a person who likes to take many photos or to record videos, you’ll definitely need a microSD card. The good news is that the device has a slot for that.

The battery is also enormous: 3900mA. Usefully, it can be charged using a USB-type C connector. In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G LTE bands (1/2/3/4/7/8/9/19/26/28B). The 13Mp rear camera has an aperture of f/2.0 and LED flash, while the front-facing camera is 5MP and its aperture is f/2.2.

The manufacturer hasn’t specified when the Funker W6.0 Pro 2 will be released.
