I sent an email to myself as I normally do with a list of things to do, the email came back to me stating Delivery Incomplete Failed to process account credentials. Am I being hacked. I’m using my Gmail account. The info is correct. I sent and received other emails just fine using the same email.

How to turn off the Delivery incomplete message on Gmail

1. Check the credentials

Let’s start by saying that you can’t disable the message if you’re keen to send that email. You can follow our steps and avoid it or try again and hope for the best.

Some users tried sending emails to their own account which causes the error at hand. Double-check the recipient credentials and use an alternative Gmail account to send emails to yourself, if needed. If the account is deleted or blocked you for spam, messages won’t deliver.

Also, it seems that there’s a bug which, after an unspecified number of exchanges, changes your recipient’s credentials. Make sure to inspect those occasionally, as well. The error explanation is Failed to process account credentials.

2. Avoid batch messages

Avoiding batch messages to a multitude of recipients also causes this error. The server might determine this is spam mail and prevent sending it. To avoid this, we suggest limiting the number of recipients in a batch.

If this exact thing causes the error, you’ll see the Recipient server did not accept our requests. This means that, most likely, their server prevents the delivery, recognizing the message as spam.

3. Check the external email storage space

Alternatively, you should check your external email storage space, which is rather obvious if you get the Space Shortage error. In case you are redirecting emails from an external email account, make sure that it has enough storage space.

After clearing some space, the redirecting should work as intended and without further issues.

Finally, confirm that there are no suspicious links and attachments, especially when sending a batch of emails to different recipients. This also occasionally invokes the Recipient server did not accept our requests for possible spam.

Make sure you check all those boxes and you should be good to go. The Delivery incomplete error won’t pop-up again after that.
